Under the vision that international collaboration and training will further improve the quality of research and education at the University of Zakho. Dr. Hamid Saeid a staff member of the Biology Department School of life science at the University of Zakho participated in one month started from (10th of August to 10th of September-2016) research training course at the Institute of Molecular Bioscience (IMB) in the University of Queensland, Australia.

The course covers the most advance and classical research techniques use for the screening of natural invertebrate toxins as a novel source for drug development such as FLIPR, MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry, RP-HPLC and peptide synthesis by using E.coli. The training course was sponsored by the University of Zakho and Queensland.

Also, Dr. Hamid gave a presentation about his PhD works, done in UK, in the IMB at the University of Queensland, at the beginning of his talk he spoke briefly about the research and education courses running at the University of Zakho and the future vison of the University for International Collaborations and exchange training programs. In addition to University of Queensland, Dr. Hamid also visited University of Sydney and Melbourne looking for any possible future collaboration.
